Farnham St celebrated the Aussie AFL footy season by having a Footy party for the students. Students cheered for their favourite teams and celebrated by sharing some some lovely food they bought.
Farnham Street celebrated their 40 years anniversary on Thursday, 5th September during Adult Learner’s Week. Cathy Connop, who has been working at Farnham St for 30 years, took this opportunity to thank the staff, Committee members, volunteers and the students.
Special guests who attended the event were:
Danny Pearson - State MP for Essendon,
Emma King - CEO of VCOSS,
Cr. Narelle Sharpe - Mayor of Moonee Valley,
Maria Peters - Chair of the Adult Community & Further Education Board
Farnham Street celebrated the Refugee Week by organising activities for students throughout the last week of the second term. We had several activities in which the students actively participated and showcased their skills and positive contribution they bring to their communities in Australia. As a part of the electives week we also had a guided tour to the Flemington Racecourse which the students really enjoyed.
